Debi Daniel became involved in missing persons through the disappearance of her own daughter and oldest child, Melanie Metheny on July 19, 2006. Like most who have experienced a missing friend, loved one, or family member, Debi had no idea where to turn for help. Through her exhaustive research online, she was able to connect to a couple of people and their support organizations that became vital in helping her on this journey no one asks for. Debi quickly gained knowledge in missing person’s issues and discovered several support organizations. This experience, and supporting other organization’s activities prompted her to start her own organization…this organization…Melanie’s HOPE (Help Our Pets Endure). Debi, along with her husband Bill, and sister Catherine began the process of forming this organization in 2013, was granted incorporation in 2014, and in 2015 HOPE was officially granted IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit status . Debi serves as the Founder and President of Melanie’s HOPE (Help Our Pets Endure).
